Four apprentices will be reporters of record at a Deposition Skills Workshop taking place March 26 and 27, 2026, in Palo Alto, CA. This event will provide an extraordinary opportunity for court reporting students writing 200 wpm and above to develop crucial professional skills in the safety of a mock event. Two to three weeks later, apprentices will produce rough draft transcripts.
In Zoom practice sessions, apprentice reporters will practice:
- stating their reporter's admonition
- speaking up for the record, and
- reading back when requested

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
- Courageous, resolute, professional, reliable, and punctual steno (machine and voice) court reporting students writing at 200+ wpm. Must have previous experience shadowing licensed reporters. Complete THIS FORM if interested.
