Four apprentices will be reporters of record at San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association's annual mock trials in San Francisco Superior Court. This event will provide an extraordinary opportunity for court reporting students writing 200 wpm and above to develop crucial professional skills in the safety of a mock event. Two to three weeks later, apprentices will produce rough draft transcripts of the proceedings.
In Zoom practice sessions with teammates, reporters, and others, you will practice:
- creating and stating your reporter's admonition
- speaking up for the record, and
- reading back when requested

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
- Courageous, resolute, professional, reliable, and punctual steno (machine and voice) court reporting students writing at 200+ wpm. Must have previous experience shadowing licensed reporters. Complete THIS FORM if interested.
